Ladakh

Ladakh borders Tibet to the east, the Lahaul and Spiti to the south, the Vale of Kashmir, Jammu and Baltiyul regions to the west, and the trans–Kunlun territory of Xinjiang to the far north. Ladakh is renowned for its remote mountain beauty and culture. It is sometimes called "Little Tibet" as it has been strongly influenced by Tibetan culture.

It is a high altitude desert plateau (11,000ft), with wild mountains, occasional oasis villages and some beautiful Buddhist monasteries. Politically it is part of India, technically part of Kashmir, but in reality there are few security issues. After all of our journeys throughout Asia, Ladakh, is one of the most incredible places we’ve ever been to. The diversity of the landscapes from trek to river to road and the various cultures in between is unparalleled.
